About the Role:
Do you have a passion for bikes and a knack for fixing things? Are you a team player with a desire to learn and grow? We're looking for a skilled Bicycle Service Technician to join our team! In this role, you'll be responsible for servicing and repairing a variety of bicycles, ensuring our customers have the best possible riding experience. You'll also have the opportunity to develop your leadership skills by assisting with workflow organization and mentoring junior technicians.
Responsibilities:
- Perform a wide range of bicycle repairs and maintenance tasks, including:
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical issues
- Assembling and tuning new bikes
- Installing and adjusting components
- Performing safety checks
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly and effectively with customers about their bikes and service needs
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Assist with service department workflow and organization, including:
- Prioritizing repairs
- Ordering parts
- Maintaining inventory
- Mentor and train junior technicians (as experience allows)
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and new technologies
Qualifications:
- Essential:
- A passion for cycling and a strong mechanical aptitude
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to learn and grow
- Preferred:
- Prior experience as a bicycle mechanic
- Knowledge of different bicycle types and components
- Experience with point-of-sale systems and service scheduling software
